| A tubular helix shape with MAX 2.x only | |
| Max can do this by itself. Well it a not a high level tutorial but you didn't know this kind of things were possible then you may start to have some crazy scenes with cables, architectural tubes or ... well what you want. This pic can be done (I mean model and rendering) in a few seconds. Again this is a basic example just to show how to render a spline wich an helix is. That also works on circle, line or any 2D primitive included in MAX. | ![]() |
| Drawing and set the parameters |
| 1 - In the create panel just choose the Helix primitive. 2 - draw it and define the parameters you want. 3 - Check the renderable option in the general setting, the general parameters aren't animatable. 4 - Choose a Thickness, you may have to render a few times to found the good one.
